Ensemble Workshop

Saturday, April 1 @ 11:00AM — 3:00PMSat, Apr 1 @ 11:00AM — 3:00PM

Methodist Hall, Main Street, Moville

Tola Custy and Karol Lynch lead an ensemble workshop for intermediate – advanced musicians. Bringing musicians from 10-18 years together to enjoy, arrange and perform music. Karol Lynch and Tóla Custy. Fiddle player Tóla Custy is far too old to remember the various projects he has been involved with over the past thirty years, having shared stages with the likes of Lúnasa, Calico, Guidewires, Eddi Reader, Arty McGlynn and Steve Cooney. While the younger-and more dashing-Karol Lynch on Banjo, bouzouki, guitar, mandolin keyboards, remembers every one of his very impressive artistic contributions (Stockton’s Wing, Guidewires, Fooling in Doolin and Dán)! Both played together in Guidewires and currently collaborate with guitar player Paul McSherry, under the name of Topos. They first met at a hurling match and quickly realised that music might be a safer option for both of them. Little did they know how wrong they would be! Always eager to get stuck into a project both are very excited to get back to this beautiful-melody-filled part of the world. Download full programme here
